Arboretum Lussich in Punta Ballena
In 1896 Mr. Antonio Lussich bought these lands and started its forestation, until they turned into one of most important forest reserves worldwide. The park’s 192 hectares house 400 exotic species and 70 autochthonous species. You can also visit the Antonio Lussich Museum.
Museum – Studio Casapueblo (Punta Ballena)
This museum is immersed in the architectural work created by the artist Carlos Paez Vilaro. You will not only be able to appreciate most of his artwork, but you can also enjoy the classic and fascinating Sun Ceremony at sunset in the terraces of the Museum, with the voice of the artist reading a poem paying tribute to the sun.
Ecotourism in Tambo Lapataia
Jazz lovers can enjoy the classic International Jazz festival that takes place in January. There are also countless educational and fun activities to take part in after enjoying the typical artisan crepes served here.
The Wine Roads
The Wine Roads open the doors to the Uruguayan cellars and vineyards and showcase our wines through the five senses. It is a project sponsored by the Association or Ecologic Tourism of Uruguay, which is made up by 15 family cellars.
Tannat Route
Tannat is one of the typical wines of our country. This route includes six prestigious cellars and has three different circuits: The Historic, the Traditional and the Rural. Each one of these has two cellars, where it is possible to learn about its production, taste wines and enjoy typical Uruguayan meats.
La Barra Open Art y Gallery Nights
A night tour of the galleries, antique shops and cultural spaces of La Barra and Manantiales, during which you can have a glass of champagne with the artists. There are various places to be visited, such as the Atelier de Vázquez, Jorge Piñeyrúa, Micaela Núñez, Eduardo Plá, Galería Manzione, Trench Gallery, Atelier de La Barra, and also antiques, furniture and artisan objects shops. Very close to this place – in the center of Punta del Este – you can find similar places such as Museo Ralli in Beverly Hills and Art Galleries.
Club del Lago
Club del Lago, a complex unequaled in South America, is only a 5 minute drive from La Solana. Its golf course offers a unique topography with a an important feature: three different golf circuits in 20 holes. Its fairways have up and down inclines, they lean to the left and to the right, they are long and short, with generous and not so generous greens, and with abundant bunkers and six artificial lakes which help enhance its natural beauty and also become obstacles golfers need to avoid.
